PFFA will introduce a graded accreditation scheme which will enable them to transition over the coming years to a more natural, nature friendly way of feeding the nation without harming the environment.
- Farmers will be encouraged to move away from the mono crop, single product form of farming which has lead to farmers having only one outlet for their product.
- PFFA will encourage Farmers to adopt what was known as the Norfolk rotation scheme rotating their grazing animals with crop production.
- PFFA will encourage Farmers to produce for their local communities – feeding their neighbours.
- PFFA will encourage Farmers to work with nature rather than against it.
The Accreditation will have separate sections for:-
- Arable Production
- Horticulture
- Livestock Production.
PFFA Accreditation will be designed to support Farmers & Growers rather than direct their activities. It will be based on Common Sense and will be designed to make accreditation achievable for all Farmers & Growers without the need for a massive bureaucracy. PFFA will ensure a graded approach so all farmers can be involved, even at the beginning of their transition.
